About Me
Hi, I'm Ariana (Ari). My mom was my best friend.
She was the most beautiful person I've ever known. Always picking up a new hobby, traveling, planning a fun hang, laughing. In late 2023, right after moving into her dream apartment on the Hudson River, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.
It was a huge shock.
I moved home and became her sole caregiver. That meant fighting hospital bills and navigating systems that don't care how scared you are. But it also meant doing her nails, playing Scrabble, and bringing her a different flavor of ice cream every day because toward the end, that was all she wanted.
And then she died.
Next came everything I wasn't ready for. Four expensive lawyers. An estate in pieces. A business to close. Tax returns that are still haunting me (the irony of being a CPA myself is not lost on me). And a grief I had to carry alone.
But the losses kept coming...
Several of my closest loved ones passed away in quick succession and I was the only one in the family who'd been through this before, so I stepped in every time. That taught me something I can't unlearn: no one should have to figure this out alone without a guide.
So I built Light & Ari.
I help people prepare before anything happens, and I walk beside them when it does. And because my mom would've hated anything too serious, I try to bring a little levity along the way. She would've wanted that.
This is for you, mom ❤️
